Parallel Times documents the immense variety of possibilities to visualize a year. Despite the fact that a traditional calendar is an established representation of a year, we see it differently in our minds.
–– This project is part of María Marín de Buen's Master Thesis "Alternative Temporalities - Exploring the visualization of time" which questions the influence of conventional time-keeping objects on the individual perception of time.
We all know what time is but it gets complicated when we try to put it in words or images. Is time something natural and pre-existing, or rather something fabricated and moldable?
María is a mexican graphic designer studying a Master of Fine Arts at The Basel School of Design.
